Article: Reflection
Journals- a collection of written reflections throughout my internship
at Beech Mountain Elementary School.
Context: I created my journal during my Block. It was completed in May 2001. My journals allowed me to clearly express my experiences, and observations. I was able to observe, analyze, interpret and grow as a result of my journal entries. Impact: As a teacher I will be constantly taking notes and analyzing experiences. This project has given me a head start at organizing information and looking at data. My reflection skills have grown tremendously throughout this process. Alignment: Many of my entries
were based upon organizational and management issues in the classroom.
I looked for things that I would like to use, and saw things that I would
change in my own class. (Tech 12.5)
I was able to reflect on my own teaching experiences, what worked, and
what needed to change. This experience reminds me that to grow, I
constantly need to reflect on what is going on in the class. (INTASC
