Artifact 1

By using Netscape Composer, I was able to create a web page that included images I took from a digital camera. Adobe PhotoShop allowed me to alter the digital pictures that I took. After adjusting the pictures, I created a web site that would be useful for teachers, students and the regular public. I added links that connected each page to the Main Page, as well as to the Teacher Page, Student Page and Example Page.

Impact:

Being knowledgeable about technological programs such as Adobe PhotoShop, Netscape Composer and using digital cameras will be very useful in the classroom. Children can complete this project as well by taking digital images and inserting them into a web page.

Alignment:

This assignment meets Competencies 10.1 and 10.4 because we are using a web based resource for information. This project also meets INTASC Principle #6. The teacher uses knowledge of effective verbal, nonverbal, and media communication techniques to foster active inquiry, collaboration, and supportive interaction in the classroom.
