#6:
Lesson plans for Teachers Context These lesson plans are focused on teaching lessons to K-2 Graders and meet the standards set by North Carolina. By having goals set out and organized, the goals are easier to follow and keeps the teacher’s focused on the topic. I went on the Internet and found several web sites that have lesson plans that can be printed and used in the classroom. I printed several that I thought would be beneficial to me as a teacher. One web site that is commonly used to find useful lesson plans is found at www.askeric.org. More sites where I found many useful lesson plans were at www.successlink.org/great/g98.html and www.lessonplanspage.com. These sites provide many lesson plans that can be integrated into the classroom. Impact Finding lesson plans on the Internet is a beneficial and timesaving way to find numerous subjects that can be taught to the class. Teachers can search for any topic and they will be likely to find a lesson plan about the topic. Integrating lesson plans found on the Internet into lesson plans that the teacher has created is a very good way to teach a well-rounded lesson to the class. Alignment These
lesson plans are good examples of the requirements set by North Carolina.
They meet Competency 13.4 by using technology
to meet diverse learning needs. The Internet is a good source of
finding lesson plans and information that can be integrated into the classroom.
In particular, the ERIC web site offers great information. “ERIC
is a nationwide system of Clearinghouses and support agencies designed
to help educators, librarians, and the general public keep up to date on
education-related issues.” Also, INTASC
Principle #7 because the teacher uses the material to be covered to
create an applicable lesson plan for the students.
