Artifact #2:
Ethnography

Context:

In this project, we used Microsoft PowerPoint to create a presentation that addressed the issue of Ethnicity in the Elementary School classrooms at Bethel Elementary.  We interviewed students in grades K-5 to see what they thought about race.  Then we put the information together in a PowerPoint presentation to present it to the class.  We used sound effects as well as graphics taken from digital cameras to make the presentation more appealing.

Impact:

As teachers, we can use this type of presentation in our classroom to make presentations more appealing and interesting to the students.  Microsoft PowerPoint is a good way to present information in a way that all students will benefit.

Alignment:

This assignment meets INTASC Principal #2 because while completing the assignment the teacher understands how children learn and develop, and can provide learning opportunities that support their intellectual, social and personal development.
