For a class
project in a Math Methods course at Appalachian State University, I created
a class map. We had to make a map to practice arranging a classroom
that creates the learning environment that we wish to have.
This map helped
me think about how to arrange a classroom to best use space and to how
to arrange my classroom to enable learning.
Because I placed
my computers in an area close to the center of the room, all students should
have equal access getting to the computers. This meets competency
goal number 14.2. The computers are placed
in an area that may be shared by students. This enable cooperative
learning using the computers. Because of the computer placement that
I have used, I have met goal 12.4. Below
is
a copy of my class map.
