For my Literacy, Technology and Instruction course, myself and two others created a webpage for use in a fourth grade Social Studies lesson. This page was made as a resource for students to find information on North Carolina during the study of the state. It offers links to other sites that are relevant to N.C. and would benefit the students in their research. This webpage would also be beneficial to teachers who may be looking for information on the state of North Carolina.

This page complies with the N.C. Standard Course of Study for language arts and information skills. This is true because students will be required to complete a written assignment made up of information found during their research. The students will use this technology to collect and analyze their information.

This webpage will be used to present information on North Carolina as part of the fourth grade curriculum (11.2). It also offers a source for students to collect and evaluate information and draw conclusions from it (12.1).
