- Classroom Set-up
For my Curriculum and Instruction course I was required to create a classroom set up that facilitates cooperative learning and student involvement. I sketched a map and then scanned the picture into the computer to be used as an artifact.
My classroom will be set up for students to work individually or in a group. The desks will be able to be moved easily according to our daily plans. I will have different centers set up around the room that will be accessible to all students and myself. The computer(s) will also be easily accessed by my students and myself. A set up similar to this allows me to adapt the room to whatever best fits my lessons throughout the day.
This classroom set up allows me to create an atmosphere
that facilitates student involvement and cooperative learning (12.4).
It also ensures equal access to classroom computers (14.2).
