Artifact Fourteen: This artifact is a collection of resources dealing with policies and procedures for the legal and ethical use of computers in the classroom or computer lab.

Context
I compiled this set of sources during a technology class my senior year at ASU. Some of the information is available from the Internet, and some came from an elementary school in Watauga County, NC.

Impact
I will use these sources to support the classroom policies for computer use. There are many legal and ethical issues related to copyrights, fair-use policies, and protection. I will encourage my students to be familiar with, and practice these policies in all of their work on computers.

Alignment
Computers and other technologies are rapidly advancing what students can do in the classroom environment. It is important, though, that we, as teachers, ensure that our students are using computers in a legal and safe fashion. By establishing classroom policies that are aligned with common laws and practices, students will see the importance of using computers in this fashion. (NC Technology Competency 14.1)
