Software Evaluation: an analysis of Math Munchers Deluxe computer software, including reviews of software critics.
Context
This evaluation was created in my Math in Elementary Schools class.
Impact
This evaluation is an overview of math software that is available for teachers in order to facilitate their classroom instruction. The evaluation includes a rating and description of the software content, appropriate grade level, as well as requirements for installation. Teachers, or students, are able to choose the level of difficulty and the math operation. Suggestions for time increments for play are included.
Alignment
A link is provided for the expert critical analyses and can be correlated
to meet the NC Standard Course of Study by providing the web resources
used for this evaluation (Tech Comp 10.3).
This resource is grade/subject appropriate, as it is very flexible in the
classroom and at a learner-ability level, and is available for teachers
and parents. The resource can be found on the Internet through a
search engine. The evaluations are available through links provided
on the software's page. Teachers, and parents, should review these
resources before determining whether or not the software is appropriate
for their students (Tech Comp 10.6).
By incorporating this content-specific software into teaching strategies,
the reinforcement of the mathematical topics at hand is reinforced for
the appropriate level of learning (Tech Comp
11.3). This software allows for differing learning levels among
students and supplies appropriate activities according to the level (INTASC
2).
