Artifact 1:  Technology Portfolio




Context:

This portfolio was created in a class called Integrating Media and Technology into the Classroom taught by Jeff Goodman.  In this class we discussed ways to integrate various aspects of technology into our future classrooms.  This portfolio was created by using Netscape Composer.  It is divided into sections by artifacts and also divided by the technology competencies and INTASC Principles.  The whole product demonstrates that I know and understand most technology operations. 

Impact:

This technology portfolio is an effective way to show others how I plan to address the issue of technology in my future classroom.  In addition to providing me with a useful set of lessons and resources, it also gives me a way to share my ideas with other teachers.  As I begin teaching, the portfolio will become a constant reminder of how I need to be addressing technology in my everyday classroom activities.  I have also left room in this portfolio for the addition of other artifacts that I will no doubt become familiar with and utilize in my classroom.

Alignment:

This portfolio demonstrates that I have mastered basic technology skills in a number of ways.  By simply creating the portfolio itself, I had to use Netscape Composer, a web page editing computer program.  Also, the specific articles included in my portfolio each meet different technology competencies. The fact that I have included blank artifacts in my portfolio demonstrates my desire to continue to use this portfolio as a way of increasing my knowledge about technology.  As new technologies become available, I wish to add them to my portfolio and also to my own professional knowledge.  (Tech.
