Artifact 8: Useful Teacher Web sites

Context:

I created a list of useful teacher web sites from the Internet.  I used the word processing program Microsoft Word to type the document and of course the Internet to find the sites.

Impact:

It is quite useful for teachers to have a resource like the Internet that they are able to use to help them to find quality lesson plans for their classroom.  With the number of web pages steadily increasing as the years go on, teachers too must take advantage of such a broad and advantageous tool.

Alignment:

This comprised list of possible web sites for finding lesson plans on the Internet is essential for teachers to take advantage of.  One of the best things about the World Wide Web is just that teachers may now take advantage of various activities that educators all over the world create.  Using the Internet for classroom material helps the teacher learn how to evaluate what he or she can use, and it also opens their eyes to the other things that are going on in schools all over the world  (Tech. Comp. V.A).  Out of the entire web sites found, based on my own evaluations, I chose one lesson that I felt to be a very appropriate lesson for an Elementary school teacher and that I would use in my own classroom  (Tech. Comp. II.C).
