Artifact Four: List of Websites for Teachers

Competency 10.3:  “Access resources for planning instruction via telecommunications (e.g., experts, lesson plans, authentic data, curriculum materials).”

Context:

This artifact includes twelve useful websites for teachers.  I used Internet Explorer and got on the search engine, “Google” and searched for lesson plans, teacher’s educational resources, and educational websites.  I found twelve that interested me the most and would be the most help when I become a teacher.  I then went to Microsoft Word and listed the websites and few sentences about each one.

Impact:

As a teacher I will need some resourceful internet websites to help further my knowledge and my students knowledge.  I now know that there are many educational links for me to look at when I become a teacher.  There are many lesson plans, certificates, games, worksheets, downloadable software, and resources that I can use to help me have additional resources whenever I need some.  This will help me be a better educator for my students.

Alignment:

By finding these websites on the internet, I have now met Competency 10.3, because I can access resources for planning instruction on the internet.  These sites will help me when I began to teach because I will have many other resources other than my own to help me with my teaching lessons.

I have also met INTASC Standard 9 because it gives teachers new ideas and allows other teachers to reflect on successful activities that have made learning a success for many students.  The purpose of these websites is to support fellow teachers with ideas and techniques that have proved successful in the classroom.
