Artifact # 9 |
Artifact Nine: Websites For Students Whose Primary Language Is Not English Competency 13.3: “Use media and technology to support learning for children whose primary language is not English.” Context: “In the year 2000, in North Carolina,
over 40,000 students could speak little or no English.”
Impact: I will have students and parents who will be able to speak little or no English. By knowing about these websites I will be able to communicate with them, because I can translate information that they need to know or let them be able to use the internet, just like their fellow classmates. I also now know a website that I can go to so I can help my ESL students better understand the English language and be able to let them have fun learning it. There is a lot of informative information on this website for me as a future teacher and my ESL students. Alignment: By going to these two websites I have now
met Competency 13.3. I have used
media and technology to support learning for children whose primary language
is not English. I now have more knowledge of how I can help my future
ESL students.
