Software Evaluation

 Software Evaluation

Context: The Software Evaluation was created at Appalachian State University in Pam Schram’s math class during the fall of 2002. I reviewed Curious George Learns Phonics and looked at other reviews online to compare.

Impact: The evaluation will help me teach because it shows that I know how to evaluate appropriate software or activities for the children in my classroom. By knowing how to evaluate software and other material, I will be able to provide the learning opportunities that my students need to succeed.

Alignment: This activity meets standard II B because I have researched teaching learning with technology. By doing research, I will be up to date on the latest and greatest technology and will be able to provide the most rewarding learning experiences in my classroom. This activity aligns with INTASC principal 3 because it shows how I understand how students have different approaches to learning and I can create the most appropriate learning opportunity for each child.
