  • Computer Ethics
As a senior at Appalachian State University I took a Media literacy course.  In this class we used the computer quite a bit.  I began to think about computer ethics as the semester progressed.  After thinking about these ethical issues I looked up Computer Ethics on Yahooligans.  I found two web sites on Computer Ethics.  One was the Ten Commandments for Computer Ethics and the other site was developing an ethical compass for Worlds of Learning.  These web sites would be good for parents, teachers, and students.
These web sites can help teachers create lessons on computer ethics they could teach the students.  The teachers could teach the dos and don’ts of computers.  Parents can uses these sites to also teach their children right and wrong.  As a teacher I know that students will be working with computers and they need to know what is right and wrong when doing the work with computers.
These two web sites deal with the dos and don’ts of computer ethics.  Students need to know this information.  Teachers can use these sites to develop lesson plans.  These sites fulfill competency 14.3
