Computers are a wonderful tool for students to use. As students become familiar with computers they can use the Internet to find vast amounts of information on many different topics. The Ten Commandments of Computer Ethics are great to share with elementary school students because of their simplicity and basic concepts of computer ethics. In my classroom I will discuss the The Ten Commandments of Computer Ethics at the beginning of the year. I will make sure my students understand why they are important. Each student will receive a copy, and I will have one posted near each computer. This artifact fulfills competency goal 14.3
because it familiarizes students with the basic issues related to computer
ethics.
