As a teacher I need to be aware that I will continuallly have students in my classroom who are not familiar with English as their fist language. It will be important for me to accommodate my lessons for these students.
In my classroom I will need to be familiar with the knowledge and resources to teach these students in the most facilitating environment possible. After looking through several websites I found http://www.csun.edu/~hcedu013/eslindex.html to be the most informative. This site includes lesson plans and resources for ESL, bilingual, and Foreign Lnaguage teachers.
This completes competency goal 13.3
by utilizing bilingual internet sites that will inform teachers of the
resources they need to be familiar with.
