Artifact 2

     I produced an ABC booklet during my social studies methods class at Appalachian State University. This document was produced for use in a first grade classroom emphasizing individual in a group. This theme was used to align the document with the NC Standard Course of Study in the first grade. Each page of the book presents a letter of the alphabet with a picture that corresponds to something in the life or environment of the student.
     This booklet is aligned with the NC Standard Course of Study Social Studies Objectives. This booklet could be used as a model for students to use while creating their own booklet about themselves.
     This artifact satisfies (12.7) because it creates learning experiences that are appropiate for NC Curriculum goals that are relevant to learners.   Students will use media and technology to create their own book. The book will be created using personal photographs, computer clip art programs, and pictures from magazines.
