This document was produced as part of my media, literacy, technology, and instruction course. This document could be used as a model to help students analyze Channel One. This document was produced by freezing images on a video and transferring them by disk to my document. The purpose of the document was to evaluate the commercials on Channel One. This document could be useful is a classroom, as well as a resource to teachers. I would use this evaluation as a model for my students to perform the same task.

This document corresponds with the NC Standard Course of Study for language arts and information skills. I would use the information in this document to support learning, because it would help students analyze media that exists in the environment. As a resource on this web page, it will be available to other teachers. The reflection on this project will be useful for any teacher considering using this in the classroom.

This document includes an evaluation of a television resource that supports the curriculum (10.2). The lesson requires students to analyze information and use a variety of media to communicate results clearly (12.1). The lesson evaluates appropriate learing/teaching resources (10.6). The lesson facilitates student learning utilizing satellite/cable (12.6).
