Software Evaluation

I looked at a piece of software to use with a student in my classroom during CI 4000.  The student was appointed my portrait student, whom I worked closely with during my internship.  I evaluated the software for possible benefits to advance the learning of this particular student.  This software was used with my portrait student to enhance his mathemathical skills in measurement.

The software will assist me in teaching the student concepts regarding mathematical skills.   The software meets objectives from the NC Standard Course of Study for both mathematics and computer skills.  The student will use the software to learn about length, ordering objects from longest to shortest, and will use the mouse to move objects.

The software accommodated specific needs for my student.  The software could be used for remedial students, students above grade level, and students below grade level (13.1).  This software is specifically designed to help students in mathematical skills (11.3). The software is bilingual and can be in English or Spanish (13.3).
