Name: Spanish Yahoo: a web site designed for ESL and/or Hispanic users who are more fluent in Spanish than English

Context: Spanish Yahoo is an internet tool for searching the web and finding information in Spanish.

Impact: Spanish Yahoo can be used in the classroom as a resource for ESL students and for teachers who are attempting to explore the Spanish language and assist their Hispanic students and parents so that there will be little or no barrier between the teacher and the students and parents.

Alignment: Spanish Yahoo applies technology resources to enable and empower learners with diverse backgrounds, characteristics, and abilities (Tech Comp VIB). Recognizing and using Spanish Yahoo when necessary identifies and uses technology resources that affirm diversity (Tech Comp VIC).
