Artifact 1

This artifact includes a printout of five thematic lesson plans, entitled “You’ve Got a Friend in Me”. These lesson plans were created a partner and I. We picked a piece of software called Disney’s Activity Center: Toy Story. The first three lesson plans are hands-on non-computer pre-activities. These lesson plans were designed to help students to orient with the concepts that they would be using in the software. The fourth lesson plan incorporates the software and the last lesson plan wraps up the whole theme.

Impact:

As a future teacher I will be designing my own lesson plans and will be required to incorporate a variety of technology software within some of these lessons. This assignment has helped in orienting me to certain computer software and the ways in which to include it within lesson plans.

Alignment:

I have met competencies 10.4, 11.1, and 12.7 by integrating technology into a set of lesson plans. Along with my partner I used technology as a medium for communications and incorporated the use of media and technology where appropriate. This artifact also meets INTASC principle 1, 4, and 7.
