Lesson Plans for Teachers

Context:

Included in this artifact are three lesson plans for future classroom use.  I searched the Internet and found three websites where I retrieved one lesson plan each.  The web sites that I visited were www.tnrcc.state.tx.us, www.lessonplanspage.com and http://ericir.syr.edu.  The third website listed is the ERIC database, which stands for Educational Resources Information Center.  A further description of this database comes from the ERIC website, “ERIC is a nationwide system of Clearinghouses and support agencies designed to help educators, librarians, and the general public keep up to date on education-related issues.”

Impact:

The Internet proves as a wonderful resource for any teacher, especially in finding great ideas for classroom lessons.  I feel confident in finding lesson plans from a variety of websites and know that the Internet will foster new experiences for my classroom.  I currently know of three websites of interest that contain relevant lesson plans for classroom use.

Alignment:

I have met competency 13.4 by using a national service, the Internet, to gather information and resources to meet a variety of learning needs for my classroom.  Use of this specific technology will enable me to establish a broader base of resources for my classroom.
