List of Websites for Teachers

Context:

Included in this artifact is a list of twelve websites for teachers.  These websites focus mainly on grades Kindergarten through Second.  Included beside each website is a short description of each website.  These sites are geared toward teachers but a few of them could also be geared toward parents of children in Kindergarten through Second Grade.

Impact:

The Internet proves as an important resource, especially for beginning teachers.  I feel confident in finding free resources, tips from beginning teachers, ideas for themes in the classroom, and other helpful information from the Internet.  The websites that I have found will not only help me but also help in preparing parents and children for their first days of school.  I feel that the Internet will be one resource that will get me off on the right foot as a beginning teacher.

Alignment:

I have met competency 10.3 by accessing resources for planning instruction for my classroom (expert advice, curriculum materials, etc.) through telecommunications such as the Internet.
