Social Studies Textbook Analysis

Description: With this project we were asked to take two different social studies textbooks and analyze them for their differences and similarities.  We were then to look at these differences and similarities and decide which one we would use in our classroom (the one we believed our children would learn more from).  This shows us what sort of comprehension the authors expect out of first graders and what sort of pictures they believe the children will learn from.  It would be really helpful if there was a list of textbooks, formed by teachers, that could be used as reference books for the new teachers.  These can be used to find more information on a concept you are teaching (10.6).
