Competency 14.2: Ensuring equal access to media and technology resources
for all students.
Context: Victoria Hightower, Erin Miller and I created a webpage for an project for Curriculum and Instruction 4000. We did research on Title One and then compiled a webpage with vital information. The class read through the webpage and then completed a worksheet to help process the information they had read on the Internet. Impact: As a teacher, I will have to ensure that all students have equal access to technology resources. I will make sure that all students have the opportunity to use the Internet for learning and then will have the appropriate checks (such as completing an assignment) in place to help ensure that my students use and comprehend information they encounter on the Interent. Alignment: The Inquiry project aligns with competency 14.2 because
having students complete an assignment based on information they attained
from the Internet ensures that students use the research using a computer.
