Context
This artifact includes information presented in a presentation called “The Classroom Teacher as an ESL Teacher.”  There are data, sample unit/lesson plans, activities, and a resources list included.

Impact
This information will be helpful to me because it is useful information and realistic activities that can be used by the classroom teacher to accommodate the needs of LEP students in his/her classroom.  I am certified to teach ESL and I hope to educate my future colleagues using a similar packet of information in order to teach them how to include their LEP students’ needs.

Alignment
This artifact aligns with INTASC Principle 9 and Principle 10 because it was created as a presentation to inform colleagues of the special needs of LEP students in an effort to provide these students with a more effective learning experience.  It also demonstrates my desire to be a lifelong learner and continue to grow professionally.
