ESL Unit Plan

Context
I created this integrated curriculum as a final project for an ESL methods course.  It includes North Carolina Standard Course of Study objectives for Social Studies and Second Language for First Grade.  I have also included assessment information and plans, as well as one unit of lesson plans.

Impact
This artifact integrates curriculum goals for Grade One Social Studies and Second Language.  This is a great way to include my ESL students in the activities the rest of the students are involved in.  Every experience is a language experience for an ESL student.

Alignment
It aligns with INTASC  Principle 6 because it fosters active collaboration through group work, inquiry, and supportive interaction within the classroom.
