Artifact # 14
Context
This artifact shows a Word Recognition Inventory (WRI) being done with
fifth graders that were in my internship class. I gave some students
a WRI as a tool to assess their decoding ability and reading level.
Impact
This will help me as a teacher because it will be able to assess my
students reading levels in order to assign appropriate reading material
that will challenge but not frustrate them. With the information
found from a WRI, I will be better prepared to cater to their learning
needs.
Alignment
This aligns with INTASC Principle
8 because it demonstratates an assessment that I will use to determine
my students' reading levels.
