Media Ethnography (Power Point Presentation)

Context
This artifact is a Power Point Presentation of a study done on fifth graders at Crossnore Elementary School in Avery County.  It focuses on body image and how this media effects the students' concept of beauty and attractiveness.

Impact
This artifact, or one similar, would be useful when presenting information about body image from the eyes of fifth graders to other faculty members or parents.  It is helpful in figuring out what is important to children this age, and how the media effects how they view themselves and other people.

Alignment
This artifact aligns with NC Technology Competencies 11.2, 11.4, and 12.6 because it was presented to a group of fellow future teachers, by way of wireless technology, about the effect of the media on students' concept of beauty and attractiveness.  It also aligns with INTASC Principle 2 because it address the personal and social development of a group of fifth graders.
