Software Evaluation

Context
I reviewed a second language learning software program called "Rosetta Stone."  During an internship at Crossnore Elementary School, I observed a non-English speaking student using this software during Reading time.  I tried it out for myself, and this artifact is analytical evaluation for the "Rosetta Stone."

Impact
It is important for my students to become “computer friendly,” therefore I plan on using various software to accentuate the main points of the lesson.  This will help the students become more comfortable with the computers, as well as, a great resource for independent or group work.  The "Rosetta Stone" software that I evaluated would be a helpful and beneficial supplimental resource for second language learning.

Alignment
This aligns with Competency 10.6 because I evaluated a software program used in an elementary classroom.  It also meets 13.3 because the software is used for second language learning, including English as a Second Language.
