Media Survey

B. Context
This Media Web Page was designed by a group of four and by myself during the Spring of 2001 during my Media and Technology Methods class.  It was designed to explore the attitudes and influences of packaging on children from grades 2nd - 4th.

C. Impact
This Web Page and Survey was designed to give a loose interpretation of how commercials, gender, toys, and environment affect the attitudes of children when it comes to packaging.  We took the statistical data and did four different graphs to assess these four areas.  We also linked these studies to certain web pages.  This questionnaire was given during this Spring to approximately 200 students at three different schools in Watagua County.  We then did a brief essay assessment on conclusion(s) that we arrived at from the data.

D. Alignment
This study shows the influences of four different aspects from the above mentioned areas on attitudes that children have towards packaging.  This survey explores the awareness of ethical, social, and legal issues of packaging as related to students in 2nd - 4th grade.  It will encompass these Competencies:

E. Technology
· 14.3 - This artifact shows my awareness of the social, legal and ethical issues related to technology because it entails attitudes on Packaging based on several social areas including gender, commercials, toys, and environmental issues.  It begins to assess the ethical issues arrived from commercials and television.
