  Lesson Plans For Teachers

Competency 13.4:  Use appropriate local, state, and national services or resources to meet diverse learning needs through technology.

Context

During my Foundations 3100 class, Classroom Use of Microcomputers, I went to the ERIC database lesson plan page (http://ericir.syr.edu) and printed out a lesson plan.  “ERIC is a nationwide system of Clearinghouses and support agencies designed to help educators, librarians, and the general public keep up to date on the education related issues.”  I also went to a search engine on the Internet and typed in lesson plans, I was given a list of sites containing lesson plans and I picked a site and printed out two more lesson plans.

Impact

I will be licensed to teach grades K-6 and this will be a good resource for me to obtain lesson plans to help construct my curriculum.

Alignment

Lesson Plans for Teachers aligns with Competency 13.4 – as a future NC public school teacher, I now know how to access the ERIC Data page and also how to obtain lesson plans from the Internet. I will also be able to adapt the lesson that i find to fit my classroom and my style of teaching.
