Artifact Fifteen: Copyright Policy Discussion 

A.  The document in this rationale is a summary of the discussion that we had in class pertaining to copyright policies. The summary contains the basic definitions that one needs to know and understand in order to prevent copyright infringement. 

B. This rationale is a document that I created using Microsoft Word about a classroom discussion on copyright policies. I made this document during my junior year at Appalachian State University in a Microcomputers course for Elementary Education majors.

C. I am planning on becoming an elementary school teacher, and I know that implementing these policies and guideines is important. These documents will be used to help me understand the information that I will be passing along to my students.

D. This rationale meets Technology Competency VI- B because I used the knowledge I had about copyrights to participate in a classroom discussion on the topic. I hope to pass along all that I have learned about this subject on to my students, so that they understand the importance of using their own information and to respect others, by citing, when they borrow information. 

It also meets INTASC Principle Six because I am communicating the knowledge that I have about technology copyrights with my students so that they are effective technologically in the classroom.
