A. This rationale is the website for the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction. Through this website, curriculum goals and standards can be found for all grade levels.

B. I have searched the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction website in many of my Elementary Education classes at Appalachian State University. In order to find the curriculum for a particular grade level, in my case Kindergarten, I used my knowledge of the WorldWide Web to find the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction website. Once I arrived at this site, I clicked on "curriculum," and the grade level options were presented to me.

C. I know that I will be using this website multiple times throughout my career. I can use this site for any grade level that I choose to teach. I plan on using the information that I find on this sight to plan the lessons that I will teach to my students.

D. This rationale meets Technology Competency III- A because it gives me the curriculum standards for any grade level that I want by using technology to get the information.

It also meets INTASC Principle Number One because it provides me the information that I will need to present and teach to my students. It provides a structure to the curriculum that I will teach.
