Artifact Four: Sign Up Sheet For Computer Lab

A. This artifact is a sign up sheet for the computer lab. On my sign up sheet, I included my name in the title, so that students know which sheet to sign. I also included the headings: Name, Date, Time, and Computer #. The students will fill out this portion of the sign up sheet, so that I can keep track of their time spent in the computer lab, as well as their attendance. The sign up sheet will be posted at the entrance of the computer lab for easy access.

B. I created this artifact while taking a Microcomputers course my junior year at Appalachian State University. I used Microsoft Word to produce this document.

C. I plan on using this document within my classroom when we go to use the computer lab. I will have the sign- up sheet at the entrance to the computer lab, and I will emphasize the importance of signing in. I will use the sheet both as a form of attendance, as well as a way to keep track of the time spent in the computer lab.

D. This artifact meets Technology Competency II- D because it shows that I have planned a way to manage the technology resources among the students in my classroom. The sign- up sheet will be an organized way for me to keep track of who is using the computer lab and for how long.

It also meets INTASC Principle Seven because it is a plan to use with my class in order that all students are given the equal opportunity to use the technology resources that are available.
