A. This rationale is a creative project that is found online that offers a teachers guide to information about the activity, as well as a student page so that the students can get online and do the lesson individually. It is full of detailed information about the activity, and it even provides an example of what is expected of the students. It is a great tool for teachers to use as a lesson for their students. B. I created this lesson with the help of one of my Blockmates during my senior year at Appalachian State University. We had to choose one object out of a pile of random items and make up a use for that object. From there, we created an advertisement about the object. The first page of the site is a home page that has links to the teacher guide, student page, and the example page. I used a digital camera to create the images that are found on this webpage. I used Adobe Photoshop to adjust the pictures, and I used Netscape Composer to create the webpage. C. I plan on using this lesson when I am teaching because it is a great way to get your students to be creative. Their ideas are endless, and there is no right or wrong answer. It also enhances their technology capabilities because they have to use a digital camera to take a picture of their item and how it can be used. This lesson also supports writing because the students have to write up and typed uses for their object. It is a great lesson that covers many different aspects of the curriculum. D. This rationale meets Technology Competency III- D because it allows me as a teacher to observe and manage my students as they are learning about and using various technology. It also meets INTASC Principle Number Four because this lesson involves multiple instructional strategies to gain the success of all of the students. |
