List of Web sites
for Teachers
Context
This artifact is a list of 13 different web sites from the Internet
that contains lesson plans. To get a list of lesson plan web sites,
I went to Internet Explorer and then went to http://www.google.com.
This is a great search engine. I then found a list of web sites and
explored many of them until I found the web sites I thought would help
me the most in the future. In order to keep a record of these web
sites, I went to Microsoft Word and processed them to put in my technology
portfolio.
Impact
I am going to be licensed to teach grades K-6 in North Carolina.
It will be my responsibility to have lessons prepared each day for my students.
I now know that many resources are available via telecommunications such
as lesson plans that will help me in my preparation to teach.
Alignment
By having a list of web sites that will help me with my lesson plans,
I have met competency 10.3 of the Advanced
Technology Competencies for Educators. When I am a teacher, I will
need many, many lesson plans. I think it would be good to research
my ideas to find out if someone else has taught a lesson similar to mine
that would help expand my lessons to better help my students.
Alignment with INTASC Standards
This artifact aligns with the INTASC
9 because the teacher is a reflective practitioner who continually
evaluates the effects of his/her choices and actions on others and who
actively seeks opportunities to grow professionally. The purpose
of these web sites is to support teachers with new ideas that could be
used in his/her classroom. Looking at web sites will help me continually
grow and bring new ideas into my classroom.
