Plans For Teachers
Competency
13.4 “Use appropriate local, state, and national services or
resources to meet diverse learning needs through technology”
Context To find different types of lesson plans for teachers I went to Internet Explorer and searched www.yahoo.com to find lesson plans for teachers to use. I found three different websites to assist teachers in finding lesson plans. I found the ERIC website (http://ericir.syr.edu), www.lessonplanspage.com and www.learnnc.com. These three websites are great for teachers to get lesson plans from. I knew about the Learn NC website because of previous use and I find it to be helpful to me when trying to find lessons. After selecting three lessons from Science, Math and Language Arts I printed the lesson plans out to help teachers in the classroom become familiar with different activities in the classroom. The ERIC website “is a nationwide system of Clearinghouses and support agencies designed to help educators, librarians, and the general public keep up to date on education-related issues.” Impact These three lesson plans are useful to a teacher because the teachers are getting many different lesson plans and getting to use several different resources available for use. The Internet is a great resource for teachers trying to find good useful resources. As a teacher I plan to use the Internet to assist me in finding many valuable lesson plans and activities for my classroom use. Alignment These three lesson plans should be very helpful for teachers in teaching new and different activities in the classroom. The lesson plans meet the competency 13.4 because the ERIC lesson plan comes from a national database and the other two come from local and national resources. I know now that I will be using these three sources as a teacher because I find them especially beneficial.
